Memorial Eye Center of Sugar Land
Memorial Eye Center employs the very latest ophthalmic technologies and procedures to provide comprehensive examinations of not just your eyes, but your entire visual system. Dr. Arnold is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. During his training he participated in vision outreach programs in Mexico and with the Bureau of the Indian Health Service. His externship was completed at the Indian Health Service Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dr. Arnold spent two years as a research assistant for the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He opened his Today’s Vision practice in Sugar Land in 1992.
Dr. Arnold is active in both the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry. His primary professional interests are diseases of the eye, specialty contact lenses and the management of refractive laser eye surgery.
A fifth-generation Texan, Dr. Arnold has been married for over forty years to his wife, Donna. They have one daughter, Meredith, who is a professional harpist.
Dr. Arnold enjoys snow skiing in Utah, Colorado, British Columbia and Chile. In the off season he likes to run marathons.
