Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Sandy Seamans graduated from LSU in 1974 with a degree in medical technology and later obtained her DVM degree, graduating first in her class. Her expertise has allowed the hospital to have a complete in house diagnostic laboratory. She has completed extensive continuing education in the areas of surgery and in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic skin diseases. She is also an avid educator of her clients, new veterinarians and staff. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Seamans has a passion for ballroom dancing, competing all over the country!
Dr. Steve Taylor obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M in 1972. He later completed a postgraduate internship and an internal medicine residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. Taylor is board certified in internal medicine but also has a special interest in neurology. Dr. Taylor has a second certification in veterinary acupuncture, which enables him to combine both western are eastern medicine techniques.
Dr. Cheryl Stanley graduated with honors from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She completed the rigorous certification to obtain diplomate status in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 2001. She received her certification in the field of Feline Practice. In addition to feline practice, Dr. Stanley's interest include surgery and internal medicine. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Stanley enjoys cooking, camping and being an aunt to her three nephews and her niece. Dr. Stanley currently shares her home with two dogs and two cats.
Dr. Barbara Willhouse received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University before graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Her veterinary interests include radiology, ultrasonography, and dermatology. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Willhouse is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoys travel and photography, and has 1 daughter, 4 dogs, and 1 cat to keep her busy at home. Her philosophy of practice embodies not only providing the highest quality of care, but also providing compassion and empathy.
Dr. Nick Schindler graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. He has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Schindler enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and son. They share their home with two orange tabby cats and a rescued Chesapeake Bay retriever.
Dr. Lore Haug graduated with honors from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After working in general practice for several years, she completed a residency in behavioral medicine at Texas A&M and obtained board certification in the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists in 2002. She is the only full time veterinary behaviorist in Texas. She also has an interest in neurology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Her hobbies include herpetology, reading, cycling, equestrian events, and other outdoor activities. She has been active in various dog sports and currently shares her time with a Doberman Pinscher and a Polish Arabian.
